Lex settled back on the cushions of the dead sofa, the back of her neck still stinging slightly, and shut her eyes, listening to the relaxing music on the stereo.
Alec managed to get past the sector police unnoticed. He'd gotten his barcode lasered off that day, but was still recognizable so he preferred to lay low.
Quietly entering Lex's building, he gave the door a few sharp knocks. Jax and Eden were (thankfully) gone and he wasn't about to waste this opportunity to be alone with Lex.
Lex rose slowly, and grabbed a second beer from her fridge, uncapping it before opening the door.
"Hey," Alec smiled, noting the tired expression on her face.
Sonofabitch. Luca. I should have just killed him when I had the chance.
He didn't wait for an invitation before walking in. Shutting the door with one hand, he kept it in place and raised his other to Lex's face, somewhat pinning her to the door. He examined her quickly. No visible marks of any kind.
He raised his eyes to meet hers for a moment, then kissed her deeply, taking his hand off the door and moving it to the small of her back.
He pulled back briefly enough to ask, "Everything went okay right?" Then began a light trail of kisses from her temple.
"Of course it did...He didn't even know I was there!" Lex made no attempt to move away from him or the door, but her reactions were muted slightly by the bottle of beer in each hand.
Raising the one in her left, and fully aware of how cold it was, she pressed it to the flesh at the small of his back.
Alec jumped back in surprise, then saw the bottles and laughed. "Point taken," He chuckled and let her pass.
"Good. So....how long do you think Jax and Eden will be gone for?" He asked with a raised eyebrow and wry smirk.
Lex grinned at him and put the beer bottles down, and moved over to him, looping her arms around his neck.
"They..." She kissed him "...are staying..." she kissed him again "...at a hotel..."
Alec kissed her back, each deeper than the next and he mumbled something unintelligible in response. He didn't care.
He slid a hand on her hip while the other cupped her face. He kissed her, gently at first, then slowly increasing, exploring the facets that made her sigh, memorizing them, lingering, making certain she felt as good as he could give her.
His grip on her hip pulled her to him some more as his hand slid away from her face and down her neck, to her shoulder, lowering the neckline of her top so that his trail of kisses reached her neck and he placed a slow kiss on her shoulder.
Alec kissed her lips again, and asked, his voice thick with passion, "Are you sure?"
He'd never been this attentive with a woman before. He wanted to be with Lex. She wasn't a one night stand or a regular chick on the side. She was special, and she made him feel...incredible.
Lex looked at him "Absolutely sure." She kissed him back, heart and soul, allowing her hands to roam to the back of his shirt and to drag at it, until she'd dragged it over his head. She laid a kiss on his chest. "Completely sure." She kissed his shoulder and turned to smile into his face "One hundred percent sure."
Alec luxuriated in the feel of her skin against his, her warmth. He breathed in her scent and let his hands explore under her shirt. Her shirt. The thin fabric was too much between them.
Gently gliding his hands up her sides, he took the light shirt with him and delicately slipped it over her head. He tossed it somewhere and took her face in his hands again. They began to explore the satin porcelain of her skin, mingled with kisses and whispers. Things he'd never been brave enough to say before. How much he needed her, how long he'd wanted her, and simply her name over and over again.
Lex felt her breathing shorten, every touch every word sending waves through her of joy and desire, because in every word and touch she could feel, not only how she felt about him but how he felt about her.
Just the overwhelming feeling was nearly enough to push her over the edge, and while not able to form words she wasn't able to keep silent either, small sighs escaping her with every touch, even as she kissed his mouth, his face, is throat, as if she could take him in just from the taste of him.
It was too much, but Alec had to have more. Everything was coming at him, all of the emotion he pushed down and away. He welcomed it, and let in sink deep inside of him, falling farther. He was terrified and didn't understand why he loved it. He held onto Lex, the only solid thing in his world that was now spinning. She was his and he belonged to her completely. Even if he never said the words, he knew it.
Fingering the button of her jeans he stopped and held her face with one hand. Staring deeply into her eyes, he unclasped it. Then he kissed her, but refused to break their gaze. With every slip of her zipper he repeated this, his eyes never leaving hers. Finally, finally, he lowered her jeans over her hips and lifted her out of them. He carried her to the bed, and tried to still his shaking movements, a vulnerability exposed deep in his core, his soul. He kissed her the entire way.
Lex woke slowly, feeling safe and warm in Alec's arms. She turned slowly, carefully so as not to wake him, and watched him for a moment, before she kissed him.
Alec didn't quite want to wake up. He'd slept better last night than he could ever remember doing. The feel of soft lips against his swayed his decision though. He slowly opened his eyes to see Lex's large brown eyes staring at him, into him. Lowering his head slightly to deepen their kiss, he sighed.
"Good morning," He murmured, breaking for breath and stroking her hair.
"Hi, you seem to have slept very well." Lex grinned impishly at him, her voice soft. "I've decided, we are never leaving this bed again, except possibly to eat."
There was laughter in her tone, but she meant it as in that moment, lying there in his arms, she knew she was finished, she knew she loved him. As the realization hit her she kissed him again, fiercely.
Alec didn't hold back in the least, only smiled and returned her kiss with as much passion and emotion as he held inside of him. He murmured something unintelligible to her as he traced the lines of her arms, and kissed her lips.
Lex sighed softly "Remind me why we fought for a month, when for at least a good chunk of it, we could have been right here?" She smiled at him. She was so happy she could have burst. She hoped he knew. She hoped he knew all of it.
"I'd rather not remind you and keep that smile on your face. You're too beautiful when you smile," Alec said happily, punch drunk on love and content.
"And food is such a waste of time don't you think?" He chuckled and tickled at her side.
Lex laughed and looked at him. "I don't think anything could take the smile off my face right now." She trailed a soft hand over his chest. "And we, need to keep our strength up!" She teased him.
Alec stroked her hair, and said softly, "Yeah me too." He was sure he would burst any second. He made Lex happy. He could see it, feel it. Just as happy as she made him.
"Your logic is irrefutable," Alec said and stifled a yawn, "However can it wait for...a few years? I'll be ready to get up by then."
Lex yawned too. "Mmmmm, I'd say at least three years, possibly four>" She chuckled softly, and curled up, so that her back was against his chest.
"Four is good. That's my vote," Alec sighed and pulled and her closer, fully prepared to sleep as much as he possibly could. He hadn't felt this relaxed...ever.
Lex rose quietly and grabbed the phone that had woken her, she would normally ignore it, but the tone told her it was her work line.
"Hello Gildern and Stern, Angela Stern's office? No, I'm sorry the firms directors are not currently available...Not even then...Yes well I'll tell them...Thank you...Yes...Yes goodbye Mrs French..."
Her jaw set, and rage flickered briefly behind her eyes. Lex dressed quickly, and turned to look at the sleeping Alec.
"Wish I could stay..." She whispered gently and dropped the spare keys onto the pillow she'd just vacated, placing a note next to it.
Had to work, and you look great when you're sleeping. Plus if you were awake I don't think I'd have left, I'll call you. L x
Alec woke up to the buzz of his cellphone on Lex's side table. He looked around and listened for her, but she was gone. He rolled over and found a...a note?
Grabbing the phone, he said as he read, "Hello....yeah...no, I'll be there, just get Deran and Os on it. Thanks Jinx. Later."
He chuckled and had to agree with her. He probably wouldn't have left no matter what Jinx said if Lex were here...and he wished that he were. Grinning at memories of the previous night he got up and took a shower and put on his clothes.
He snatched the key and chuckled again. Someone leaving him a note and skipping out in the morning? This was definitely a first...
